Zareen Khan, a well known Bollywood actress and model, celebrated her Islamic birthday with young girls at an orphanage, setting an example for the society.
Zareen Khan’s Career
Zareen Khan debuted in 2010 and gained attention for essaying a princess in the epic action film Veer opposite Salman Khan. She then appeared in the popular item number Character Dheela in the 2011 comedy film Ready, also starring Salman Khan in the lead. The 36-year-old star got her breakthrough with the role of a glamorous model in the 2012 comedy Housefull 2, that ranks as her highest-grossing film to date. After venturing into Punjabi and Tamil cinema, Khan returned to Bollywood, and starred in the 2015 erotic thriller Hate Story 3. She has clinched multiple nominations and accolades, and amassed a fan following of millions on social media platforms.
Taking to Instagram, the Ready star shared a 3 part post detailing her “Ramadan Birthday” that she described as a “fulfilling experience” as she got to spend time with orphan girls.
“Had the most fulfilling experience spending the evening with the girls of ANJUMAN – I – ISLAM ORPHANAGE. These girls are from 6yrs to 18yrs of age,” Khan began writing.
“We had iftar together , chit chatted a lil , they did such amazing duas and they showered me with soooo much love that my heart felt so full and overwhelmed,” the actress wrote sharing heartwarming details of the evening she spent.
Opining on human beings’ innate nature to “feel ungrateful,” Khan penned, “As humans, we tend to be so ungrateful at times inspite of everything the Almighty has blessed us with.”
Sharing her own experience Khan added, “I was feeling very low lately , kinda upset , kinda hurt , kinda unloved and then i met these girls and realised love comes in every form and it just washed away all my negative feelings.”
The Veer famed actress also revealed how the orphanage is the girls’ “home.”
“These girls had no parents , no home … some of them were soooo young , so small . The orphanage is their home , the authorities and care takers of the orphanage are their parents and the girls have each other as friends or siblings and yet they had the biggest smiles on their faces. The warmth in their heart brought sunshine to my gloomy day,” she wrote.
“Kudos to the entire team of ANJUMAN – I – ISLAM ORPHANGE for doing such a noble job of taking such good care of the girls for last 150yrs,” Khan commended the orphanage’s authority.
The three part post shows the actress engaging with the young girls, having Iftar and cutting a cake to celebrate her “Islamic birthday.”
