YouTube, the video streaming platform, is testing a new “Save” button for Shorts.
The purpose of this new feature is to make it easier for users to return to their favorite clips within the app.
According to Social Media Today, along with the introduction of the “Save” button, the company plans to remove the dislike button from the Shorts user interface.
Currently, the “Like” and “Dislike” buttons are located at the top right of the YouTube Shorts player. However, in this recent test, the dislike button will be removed to make space for the “Save” button.
YouTube has stated that the dislike button will now be moved to a three-dot menu at the upper right side of the interface.
The users can express their disapproval of a clip by pressing the three-dot option and selecting any choice from the menu that appears.
