The federal government of Pakistan announced on Monday that there would be a public holiday tomorrow to mark the historic nuclear tests conducted on May 28, 1998.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that Youm-e-Takbeer serves as a reminder of the nation’s unity in establishing a robust national defense.
“On this day, we come together under the green and white flag to commemorate our nation’s steadfast determination,” added the prime minister.
Every year on May 28, Pakistan observes Youm-e-Takbeer to honor the historic nuclear tests conducted on this date in 1998.
On the occasion of the 26th anniversary of these tests, the nation reaffirms its commitment to protecting Pakistan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independence against any aggression.
