Yasir Shami, a well-known Pakistani reporter and host associated with the digital platform Daily Pakistan, is recognized for his sensational and often controversial reporting.
The platform boasts over 3.6 million subscribers, and Shami is a key figure in its success. Recently, he found himself in the headlines again after Dr. Aamir Liaquat’s ex-wife, Bushra Iqbal, accused him of circulating private photos and videos of the late televangelist.
He also gained attention due to his close association with journalist Iqrar Ul Hassan, particularly following the Minar-e-Pakistan incident.
During an appearance on Samaa TV’s “Coffee with Samaa,” hosted by Naeem Hanif and Bushra Khan, Shami addressed his decision to distance himself from Iqrar Ul Hassan.
When asked about their relationship, Shami clarified, “Waseem Badami lives in Karachi, so we don’t meet often. Iqrar Ul Hassan is based in Lahore, but we haven’t been in touch much lately. There’s no conflict or fight. Sometimes in life, you realize who your true friends are and who might not be. Maybe it’s a misunderstanding on my part, but I don’t feel the need to resolve it.”
