Winter vacations in all schools across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been officially extended, as announced by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Department through a recent notification.
According to the notification, all government and private schools in the province will now remain closed until January 6, giving students an additional five days of winter break.
Previously, the provincial education department had declared winter vacations to end on December 31. However, with the latest decision, the break has been extended, providing students with more time to enjoy their holidays before schools resume.
The extension applies to different areas of the province as well. For students in the plain regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, winter vacations will now last from December 23 until January 6.
Meanwhile, students residing in the mountainous areas will benefit from a longer winter break, which will continue from December 23 until February 29, 2024.
