Bollywood celebrity Triptii Dimri has lost Aashiqui 3, for her past bold performances, according to Indian media.
Tripti was set to reunite with Kartik Aaryan in the upcoming musical franchise film Aashiqui 3. But the actress lost this chance for her bold performances in recent movies.
According to Indian media reports, Triptii Dimri, who is currently earning great success for several high-profile projects, is no longer part of what could have been a major career breakthrough—Anurag Basu’s Aashiqui 3, starring her Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 co-star Kartik Aaryan.
“The essential requirement for being the lead in Aashiqui 3 is to have an innocent and pure on-screen presence, which doesn’t align with Triptii Dimri’s recent roles,” media reports say.
“Aashiqui is a legendary love story, and the makers feel Triptii doesn’t fit the profile. Since Animal, there hasn’t been much buzz around her, and her recent films haven’t performed well at the box office,” the insider added.
Following her departure, there have been reports suggesting that the filmmakers are considering young actor Sharvari Wagh for the role.
But some production team members have denied these reports saying “Neither Triptii Dimri is part of this project, nor is Sharvari. As of now, Sharvari isn’t part of any T-Series production.”
The latest name making rounds for the role in Aashiqui 3 is emerging actor-dancer Imanvi Esmail, who is set to make her big-screen debut opposite South superstar Prabhas in his upcoming film.
However by so far no official statement have been issued by the film makers regarding the future of the project.
