Renowned Pakistani actor Hamza Ali Abbasi has revealed his perspective on faith, calling himself as a conscious Muslim rather than a born Muslim.
Recently Hamza appeared in an interview on a podcast show. During the interview Abbasi opened up about his religious journey to find out the spiritual truth. “Although I was born in a Muslim family, I choose by myself to follow Islam”, Hamza revealed.
Abbasi said that he had studied different religions deeply, over the years. “I consciously choose to follow Islam as I found it both logical and spiritually fulfilling. My connection with Islam now is not due to being born into a Muslim family but because I found it the true religion”, Abbasi explained.
Abbasi shared that he is not a religious scholar but a practicing Muslim, “I just follow and share the parts of Islam I personally find to be true and meaningful”, he told.
Hamza added that this change in his life was not dramatic but it came as he was curious to find out the truth. “I often thought about the afterlife and accountability. This curiosity led me to seek answers, guiding me to explore the truth”, Hamza shared.
Ending this conversation Hamza Ali Abbasi said that to born into a Muslim family doesn’t make one a true follower. He said that it’s essential to consciously follow the teachings of Islam.
