Bollywood icon Sanjay Dutt’s professional achievements are widely recognized, but his personal life remains less familiar to many.
Sanjay and Manyata Dutt have been happily married for 15 years, leading a joyful and content life together. They are often regarded as one of Bollywood’s most ideal couples.
However, very few people know that Sanjay Dutt had two marriages before Manyata. Sanjay Dutt’s first marriage was to Richa Sharma. She died of cancer in 1996.
After her death, Sanjay Dutt married model Rhea Pillai in 1998. However, the marriage did not work out, and the two parted ways in 2005.
After her divorce from Sanjay Dutt, Rhea Pillai distanced herself from the limelight, but she remains active on social media, where she regularly shares her pictures.
Apart from this, she is also associated with the field of fashion design and has opened her own brand called ‘The Temple House by Rhea Pillai’.
Rhea Pillai belongs to a wealthy and respected family. She is the granddaughter of Maharaja Narsinghgir Dhanrajgir Gyan Bahadur of Hyderabad Deccan.
Her grandmother, actress Zubaida, played the lead role in India’s first talking film ‘Aalam Aara’. Father Raymond Pillai was a businessman while her mother Dareshwar Dhanrajgir was a renowned doctor.
Rhea started her career as a model and during her heyday, she modeled for many prominent brands. She also worked as an air hostess.
Rhea had also worked in a Bollywood film in the past. She had a short role in the film ‘Corporate’ released in 2006. She did not work in any film after that, so this turned out to be the only film of her career.
Despite having a luxurious life, Rhea had to face constant complications in her personal life. After her divorce from Sanjay Dutt, Rhea Pillai’s second marriage also ended in divorce, later Pillai entered into a ‘live-in relationship’ with a man named ‘Leander Paes’, which was considered her third marriage.
However, in June 2014, she filed a case in a local court, accusing Leander Paes and his father of domestic violence.
