Popular messaging app, WhatsApp has introduced new features in its latest iOS update, enhancing users’ video playback experience.
According to reports from WABetaInfo, the version 24.20.78 update includes the ability to adjust video playback speed and a picture-in-picture (PiP) mode.
The playback speed control allows users to watch videos at their desired pace, offering options for normal speed, 1.5x, and 2.0x speeds.
This feature is conveniently located near the video progress bar, making it easy for users to adjust their viewing speed.
Additionally, the PiP feature enables users to continue watching videos while multitasking, such as browsing other chats or even using different apps.
The floating PiP window can be resized and moved around the screen, providing flexibility and convenience.
Basic controls like skipping forward, skipping backward, and pausing are also available within the PiP window.
These features are available on iOS 14 and are expected to roll out gradually to users.
Those who haven’t received the update yet are encouraged to regularly check the App Store or TestFlight for the latest version of WhatsApp.
