PTI is apparently in deep trouble. While its founder chairman Imran Khan is in jail, leaders outside are at daggers drawn.
Indifferences and fight among them are no longer a secret since long yet they reached at peak after D-Chowk incident.
Party workers and supporters are desperately seeking answers to some key questions:
Why KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and Khan’s spouse Bushra Bibi left the scene, leaving the protestors’ alone to die when security forces allegedly opened fire on them at D-Chowk?
Is Gandapur a “traitor” or it is Bushra Bibi who is backstabbing Khan at military establishment’s behest?
Are Gandapur and Bushra Bibi both solely responsible for staging D-Chowk protest?
Why Bushra Bibi insisted on holding protest at D-Chowk even when, according to party leaders and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Khan had chosen Sangjani for his “Final Call” protest on November 24?
Why Bushra Bibi is silent even after a week to the Islamabad “massacre”?
A recent audio leak which is allegedly a conversation between PTI local leader from Lahore Mehar Basharat and Ali Amin Gandapur is a proof of growing frustration within the party.
Bushra Bibi, though, has conveyed her stance on D-chowk tragedy through her sister Maryam Riaz Watoo but it has raised further question.
Ms Watoo said Bushra Bibi would explain her position after meeting with Khan. It means she would remain silent in near future, considering the prevailing circumstances.
Aleema Khan presser
Imran Khan sister Aleema Khan who met with Khan in Adiala Jail told reporters that PTI founder was upset when he was told about D-Chowk killings.
However, she said Khan has issued direction for party leaders and workers to stay united.
She said Khan has kept his cards close to his chest and he intends to play the final card at appropriate time. Until now nobody except Khan knows what is his last card.
