Starlink owner and social media platform X chief Elon Musk has revealed another AI chatbot named Grok.
As per the description of X, “Grok is an AI assistant with a twist of humor and a dash of rebellion.”
Grok 3 can answer the questions of social media app users and perform tasks that further enhance the user experience of X.
The Chatbot can help users with their tasks while keeping them entertained and engaged.
Tech billionaire Elon Musk has described his chatbot as “the smartest AI on earth”.
He launched the chatbot on 17th February 2025 and showcased all the features of AI model including text-to-video conversion, correction mechanism, etc.
Musk also praised the aim of the AI chatbot creator, Musk said, “Thanks to the hard work of the incredible team, I am honored to work with such a great team.”
The live streaming of the event got almost 100,000 viewers.
Elon Musk also explained the meaning of the name Grok.
He said that it comes from the fiction novel of Robert Hellen’s science novel, Stranger in the Strange Land. In the book of Robert Hellen, it is originally used by a character that was brought up on Mars and the meaning is to fully and profoundly understand something.
The tech geek said that Grok conveys deep understanding and empathy. The X AI is Musk’s competitor to AI models developed by the U.S. such as OpenAI, ChatGPT, and Google Gemini.
