The rains in gaps and current waves turned into pleasant the weather of Lahore and other cities of Punjab on Tuesday.
More rains are expected in Lahore, other cities of Punjab as well as other parts of the country during the next 24 hours.
Some parts of the provincial capital received light rain while others received heavy rain.
The gusty winds continued till writing of these lines and it felt as if they were pushing the grey clouds from Eastern side to the western side in Lahore.
The water accumulated on the roads and streets and also caused trouble to the residents of low-lying areas.
The more rains are expected in Punjab and other parts of the country as per forecast of Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
Earlier, the PMD had informed that moist current from Bay of Bengal are likely to penetrate upper parts from 02nd September.
A westerly wave is also likely to approach western parts of the country on 02nd September evening.

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa: Rain-wind/thundershower (with isolated heavyfalls) are expected in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Buner, Malakand, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Peshawar, Swabi, Nowshera, Mardan, Charsadda, Kurram, Orakzai, Kohat, Hangu, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Waziristan and Dera Ismail Khan on 02nd & 03rd September.
Punjab/Islamabad:
Rain-wind/thundershower (with isolated heavyfalls) are expected in Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Murree, Galliyat, Attock, Chakwal, Tala Gang, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Sahiwal, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Nankana Sahib, Khushab, Sargodha, Mianwali, Chiniot, Faisalabad, Okara, Pakpattan, Kasur and Bhakkar, on 02nd & 03rd September. Rain-wind/thundershower is expected in Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Khanpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Layyah, Rajanpur and Rahimyar Khan on 03rd & 04th September with occasional gaps.
Kashmir:
Rain-wind/thundershower (with isolated heavyfalls) are expected in Kashmir (Neelum valley, Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, Poonch, Hattian, Bagh, Haveli, Sudhanoti, Kotli, Bhimber, Mirpur) from 02nd (night) to 03rd September.
Gilgit-Baltistan:
Rain-wind/thunderstorm is expected in Gilgit-Baltistan (Diamir, Astore, Skardu, Gilgit, Hunza, Ghanche, Shigar) on 02nd & 03rd September.
Balochistan:
Rain-wind/thundershower is expected in Quetta, Zhob, Sibi, Harnai, Ziarat, Kohlu, Barkhan, Loralai, Sherani, Qila Abdullah, Qila Saifullah, Khuzdar, Kalat, Naseerabad, Awaran and Lasbella from 02nd to 04th September with occasional gaps.
Sindh:
Rain-wind/thundershower is expected in Sukkur, Larkana, Khairpur, Dadu, Jacobabad, Karachi, Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin, Tando Allahyar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tharparkar, Mithi, Mirpur Khas, Umarkot and Sanghar on 03rd and 04th September with occasional gaps.
