Lahore received heavy rain amid conclusion of Monsoon season in many parts of the country on Friday.
The roads and streets of Lahore inundated into rain water after the downpour continued for more than an hour.
Ferozpur road, at many points, submerged into rain water. Lakshami and many other areas also received heavy rain.
Some areas also reported suspension in electricity supply.
More rain is expected in various parts of Punjab during next 24 hours.
Monsoon season concludes in Karachi
The monsoon season concluded in the city, with no further chances of rainfall, according to the Meteorological Department.
The monsoon period usually lasts from mid-July to the end of September. This year, moderate to heavy rainfall was recorded, with torrential downpours at some locations.
Chief Meteorologist Karachi, Sardar Sarfraz, stated that there is no possibility of rainfall in Karachi, rural districts of Sindh, or Balochistan. The weather in the city is expected to improve in the coming days due to stronger winds. In recent days, the city experienced heat due to westerly winds.
He further mentioned that October is expected to be warm, with an average temperature of 35.6 degrees Celsius. Cooler weather will begin in mid-November, after which temperatures will gradually start to drop.
According to the Meteorological Department, on Friday, the maximum temperature in the city was recorded at 35.3 degrees Celsius, with humidity at 70%.
