In its prediction on Tuesday, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said that the temperature in Sindh will rise beyond 40°C and maybe reach 42°C by April 11. If the Shawwal moon is visible today, April 11 will likely be the second day of Eid-ul-Fitr.
According to the Met Office, lower Sindh, including Karachi, will likely have temperatures between 37°C and 39°C today. The region will continue to experience hot, dry weather with 64% humidity.
The PMD predicted sweltering, muggy conditions for Eid, with a sea wind coming from the west and south-west and a temperature range of 34°C to 36°C.
On the other hand, the Met Office noted that rain and thunderstorms are expected to affect the city on April 13 and 14.
“Westerly winds will cause rain throughout much of the nation starting on April 13 or 14. Additionally, starting on April 14, mild to heavy rain is predicted for Karachi “Weather analyst Jawad Memon stated on Monday.
He also mentioned that rain is predicted for the city between April 22 and April 23.
Memon also mentioned the possibility of above-average April precipitation throughout the nation, emphasizing that a westerly storm might bring further rain by April 22 or 23.
