In Lebanon, a series of tragic walkie-talkie explosions occurred during the funeral of those who had died in previous blasts, leading to the deaths of three more individuals and leaving many others injured.
Arab media reports indicated that the Lebanese capital, Beirut, was shaken by consecutive explosions in homes, vehicles, and at the funeral site itself.
The explosions were linked to walkie-talkies being used by members of Hezbollah, who were present to pay their respects to their fallen comrades.
The aftermath saw multiple homes and cars engulfed in flames, with over 100 people sustaining injuries. Emergency services have reported that at least three people lost their lives, and the number of casualties may rise as several of the injured remain in critical condition.
Hospitals have been placed on high alert, and ambulances have been scrambling across the city to respond to the unfolding crisis.
Both the Lebanese government and Hezbollah have pointed fingers at Israel for orchestrating the walkie-talkie explosions, although Israel has neither confirmed nor denied these allegations.
It is also important to note that just a day earlier, more than 3,000 pagers used by Hezbollah officials and members reportedly exploded across Lebanon, resulting in 13 fatalities.
