Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s long-awaited album, titled ‘Chain of Light,’ is finally set for release after an unprecedented 34-year hiatus.
Scheduled to debut on September 20, 2024, this album marks a poignant return for the late qawwali maestro, who passed away seventeen years ago.
Announcing the news on Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s Instagram account, the official statement reads, “We are thrilled to announce the forthcoming release of ‘Chain of Light,’ a previously unreleased album by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan & Party. @realworldrec will unveil this masterpiece on September 20, 2024.”
Featuring the iconic Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan alongside eight other esteemed artists, the album promises to showcase a never-before-heard qawwali, recorded back in April 1990 at Real World Studios.
