The decision addresses that Pakistan’s long-range missile development programs continue to pose dangers.
Executive Order 13382 imposes the sanctions, which target those who proliferate and distribute weapons of mass destruction.
The National Development Complex in Pakistan is alleged to be promoting the nation’s long-range ballistic missile development.
Akhtar and Sons Private Limited, Affiliates International, and Rockside Enterprise are accused of supplying items to Pakistan that are connected to missiles.
These organizations participated in actions that served to proliferate WMDs or the means whereby they are delivered.
Sanctions were applied against a Chinese research center and companies linked to Pakistan’s missile program in September.
There are allegations that the Beijing Research Institute of Automation for Machine Building Industry helped Pakistan test rocket motors.
US officials said this includes work on Ababeel, Shaheen-3, and possibly larger missile systems.
Three Chinese businesses were penalized for providing Pakistan with missile-related goods in October 2023.
