Since the next NATO summit rapidly approaching, foreign leaders and diplomats are raising worries about US President Joe Biden’s old age and health.
Biden must demonstrate his strength and readiness at the summit, which takes place in Washington next week, in order to defeat Donald Trump in the election on November 5.
Allies, according to Politico, want Biden to run against Trump for a second term, but they are unsure about his chances of winning the upcoming elections.
Some European officials have expressed skepticism about Biden’s endurance and leadership qualities in the wake of the 81-year-old’s dismal showing in the first presidential debate versus the Republican.
“Anybody can tell that the president is becoming older without being a genius. One of the European NATO officials said, “We’re not confident that he can survive for another four years, even if he wins.
We all want Biden to serve a second term in order to avoid dealing with Trump once more, but this isn’t really comforting, said another EU official.
Additionally, given that Trump is hesitant to prolong US funding for other nations, Biden’s partners in NATO are worried about how long the US can continue to support European defense.
Following the discussion, a representative from a NATO nation remarked, “We’re having more conversations about our own defenses since it looks like Trump is coming back.”
Plenty of acquaintances still think that Biden is a better candidate than Trump in spite of all these worries, but they are concerned about Biden’s age and future chances.
