The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has ordered the Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto University to retake MDCAT exam.
The court has accept the petition challenging the recent exam held for medical and dental college admissions.
Justice Arbab Tahir decided in favour of the petition, instructing SZAB to hold new exam. He ordered the university to conduct new MDCAT within a month.
Justice Arbab Tahir issued ordered on report from the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC). The report pointed out examiners included several out of syllabus several questions in the exam.
Singh High Court has already issued direction for conducting again Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT), setting four week deadline. The SHC has taken notice on complaints of irregularities.
Justice Amjad Ali Sahito, Justice Panhwar made it clear that the they courts could not leave the students in state of uncertainty.
Stundents parents have challenged the MDCAT through their lawyers.
SHC Decision
As per reports, the Sindh High Court ordered the authorities to re-hold the Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT. The court found that the grave irregularities in the process of conducting the test. The probe committee made the unanimous decision about it.
The court has ordered the IBA Karachi and IBA Sukkur to conduct the test in entire Sindh on the same day.
Justice Salahuddin Panhwar and Justice Amjad Ali Sahito presided over the proceedings. They direceted the authorities not to charge any new fee from the students for MDCAT.
