Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that Donald Trump “lives in disinformation,” after the US president earlier alleged that Zelensky’s approval rating was only 4 percent.
According to international media, Zelensky criticized President Donald Trump’s claim that Ukraine was starting a war with Russia, saying that Washington was living in a Russian-made “disinformation space.”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has responded to US President Donald Trump by saying that the US president has become a resident of Russia’s “disinformation space.”
His response came in response to Trump’s claim that Zelensky is losing his public popularity.
Zelensky said it is unfortunate that the US president, whom we respect as the leader of the American people, lives in a “disinformation space.” He was speaking to reporters in Kyiv. He also said that Russia is giving President Trump misleading information.
Regarding Zelensky’s declining popularity, the US President had said that his popularity has decreased by 4 percent. Therefore, he should go for new elections.
Responding to this, Zelensky said, “These figures were provided to Trump by Russia. It should be noted that there is martial law in Ukraine due to the war and therefore the presidential election has been postponed.
Russia has been demanding that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s term as president ended in May last year. Therefore, new elections need to be held in Ukraine. However, this is the first time that this position of Russia has been supported by the United States at the highest level.
Meanwhile, in a telephone survey, when 1,000 people in Kyiv were asked about Zelensky, 57 percent supported Zelensky and 37 percent opposed him. However, the rest did not comment.
