Ukraine says Russia carried out ‘inhuman’ strikes on Christmas Day

President Zelensky said Russia hit the cities and energy infrastructure of Ukraine with drones, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles on Christmas Day.

Regional authorities reported that one person was killed in Dnipropetrovsk and six were injured in Kharkiv. Kyiv suffered blackouts amid freezing temperatures and half a million people lost heating in Kharkiv.

Zelensky slammed the assault as “inhuman”, and condemned mass strikes. According to Zelensky, Putin was deliberately getting ready to celebrate Christmas.

Russia took advantage of the winter:

The Ministry of defense in Russia pointed out that all targeted objects were hit in attacks that were conducted on energy infrastructure. The targets were serving military-industrial activities, in Ukraine.

According to Ukraine’s military, Russian attack shot 54 down during the attack, 59 drones and missiles.
