On Thursday, the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) stated that more Indian people will now be eligible for visas upon arrival in the United Arab Emirates.
A visa can now be obtained on arrival for Indian nationals who currently possess tourist visas for the UK and EU. This option used to be restricted to people who had US residency or tourist visas, as well as those who had residencies in the UK and EU.
The applicant must have a valid passport and visa for a minimum of six months in order to be eligible.
Additionally, a 60-day visa costing Dh250 is now available to qualified Indian tourists.
A revised pricing schedule for visa services was also made public by the ICP. For Indian nationals and their family members who have visas, residencies, or green cards from the US, UK, or EU, a 14-day entrance visa costs Dh100, and an additional 14-day extension costs Dh250. The cost of the 60-day visa is Dh250.
The extension of the visa-on-arrival option for specific Indian citizens is a component of the UAE-India long-term strategic relationship, according to Maj-Gen Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, director-general of the ICP.
It demonstrates the dedication of the UAE’s leadership to advancing trade and economic relations, drawing in capital, talent, and entrepreneurs, and solidifying the country’s standing as a major international travel and business destination.
