Two people died in clashes between rival groups in Karachi’s Golimar area, police say.
Armed fight between two sides left another nine injured, according to reports.
Medics say Junaid (25) and Umair Sultan (18) died before reaching at hospital.
The treatment of injured continued at the Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto (SMBB) Trauma Centre at Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi and Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
Rival sides exchanged gunfire, resulting to deaths and injuries, as per reports. Police officials also confirmed the death and injuries to people caused due to gunshots.
The police and law enforcement agencies have reached to the area to ensure peace and order.
“We are present in Golimar to prevent the situation from further escalating,” a police official told the media. He confirmed the situation is under control now.
Police say the it will take the strict action against those involved in the clash.
Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hassan Lanjar also ordered investigation, seeking report from the police. He also issued direction for fool-proof security arrangments in the area.
