As the US Presidential 2024 race heats up, recent polls show Former President Donald Trump’s lead over Vice President Kamala Harris.
The economy emerged as a vital issue for voters. Trump holds a slight lead over Kamala, leading 48% to 46% nationwide.
According to the survey conducted by CNBC’s All-America Economic Survey, released on Thursday, there is a 3.1% error margin in poll results.
Trump leads by 1% in critical battleground states, like Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, with a 4% margin error for that subset of the poll.
As per the results, many voters believe that the economy is their major concern.
Approximately 42% of those surveyed believe they would be better off financially with Trump in office, compared to 24% for Harris.
In comparison, nearly 29% feel their financial situation would remain unchanged regardless of the outcome.
Additional surveys, including one by The Financial Times in collaboration with the University of Michigan, reflect similar results, with 44% of voters expressing greater confidence in Trump on economic matters, compared to 43% for Harris.
Another poll by the Wall Street Journal, released Wednesday, shows Trump leading Harris nationally by two points, with 47% to her 45%.
RealClearPolitics, which averages national and state polls, also finds Harris leading by a slim 0.3 percentage points nationwide, though Trump holds a 0.9-point lead across the key swing states.
