Hearing of the Toshakhana Case against former prime minister Imran Khan has been adjourned till Tuesday.
The judge of the Accountability Court Muhammad Bashir could not arrive for trial due to health issues as the hearing is scheduled to be held in Adiala Jail on Tuesday. Reports say the Accountability Court judge is unwell and he has already applied for leave. Muhammad Bashir’s retirement is due in March.
“The disposal of two corruption references — Toshakhana and £190m cases — against Khan is likely to be delayed further,” reports added.
Muhammad Bashir is conducting the trial of both cases. He had applied for leave from Jan 24 till March 14. Mohammad Bashir is the longest-serving judge of the accountability courts and working on three years extension period. He has been appointed the judge of the accountability court in 2011.
