Muhammad Javed Butt, the brother-in-law of Khawaja Tareef alias Tiffi Butt, the accused in the Ameer Balaj tipu murder case, was shot dead on Monday.
Javed Butt died on the spot.
The victim along with his family was on his way back to home after picking up his grandchildren from a school. As he reached FC College underpass, four men on two motorcycles opened fire indiscriminately.
Samina Javed, the wife of Javed Butt, also got injured as she received two bullets.
The police led by SP Model Town Ikhlaq Ullah Tarar and the rescue officials reached the spot soon after they received the information.
The rescue officials shifted the woman to the nearby hospital for medical care. However, Javed Butt’s daughter, who was also in the car, miraculously escaped unharmed.
SP Model Town Ikhlaq Ullah Tarar stated said that Javed butt received five bullets while his wife got two bullets.
The attackers had reportedly followed the car from the Ichhra side and fled towards FC College after the shooting.
Earlier, Ameer Balaj Tipu was shot dead in a marriage ceremony. Muzaffar Hussain, an old gunman of Tareef Butt, killed him. However, the guards of Ameer Balaj Tipu retaliated and killed him on the spot.
Ahsan, a close friend of deceased Tipu, had provided information to the assailants and facilitated them regarding his murder.
A few days ago, Ahsan Shah was shot dead and an audio featuring Ahsan and a woman also went viral on the social media.
