Three terrorists were killed by the security forces in an intelligence-based operation in North Waziristan as per ISPR.
As per the ISPR, the operation took place in Dattakhel over the evening of February 6 and 7.
During the mission, a fierce fire fight occurred resulting in three insurgents being destroyed.
Dressed in female attire, the terrorists tried to escape but security forces caught them.
During the campaign, a large number of weapons and ammunition recovered from the killed rebels.
The three terrorists as per ISPR had perpetrated several terrorism acts in the area.
Security forces started a sanitation mission to get rid of any still present dangers in the vicinity.
The ISPR stressed security forces’ dedication to wiping out terrorism nationwide.
Earlier, eight terrorists died on the second day of a targeted operation within the Matani neighborhood of Peshawar.
More eight people were killed in Baizai region of Mohmand and three more were killed in Karak district.
According to the military spokesperson, the forces conducted these operations between Monday and Tuesday.
In the very heavy fighting, these gallant warriors provided three martyrs. These are Naik Muhammad Usman from Attock, Naik Muhammad Nazir from Skardu, and Lance Havaldar Abbas Ali from the Ghizer area.
ISPR appreciated their bravery and hinted at their heroic steps during the combats.
Then, sanitization operations began to flush out and eliminate any terrorists who might still be hiding in the areas.
The ISPR reiterated Pakistan’s military resolve to eliminate terrorism.
It said that their sacrifices bolster their determination to protect the nation’s security and safety.
Concern is growing over the recent upsurge in terrorist activities, particularly in KP and Balochistan.
Since the outlawed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan announced a decision to withdraw from a tenuous truce, attacks around the country have surged.
In 2024, there were 444 incidents of terrorism. As a result, these incidents affected 685 security officers.
The previous year saw 1,612 casualties among service members and mercenaries, which is a decrease of 73 compared to 2023.
The overall death risk has increased to its peak in nine years. A mean estimate puts the daily death toll due to these conditions at seven.
In the face of these challenges, Pakistan’s security forces stand still to fight these challenges.
These numbers reflect the increasing danger and the price to pay to defend the territorial integrity of Pakistan.
