The Meteorological Department has released a forecast that indicates a jump in temperature up to 40 degrees Celsius in the upcoming week, therefore the city of Lahore is bracing itself for intense heat.
According to meteorological experts, Lahore’s weather will see a brief reprieve over the next two days, with gloomy conditions dominating. The heatwave engulfing the area is predicted to worsen after that, though, as the temperature soars.
At 22 degrees Celsius, Lahore’s current temperature is considered mild; however, it is expected to climb dramatically, with a high temperature of 32 degrees Celsius.
Irfan Ali Kathia, the Director-General of the Punjab Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), has directed Deputy Commissioners around the province to exercise caution in light of the weather prediction. This preventive action is being taken amid reports of rain in several Punjabi regions, including Lahore.
All pertinent agencies have been put on high alert to handle any potential emergency, according to a PDMA representative. The PDMA control room, as well as emergency operation centers at the district and provincial levels, are continuously keeping an eye on the situation.
