Syed Muzammil Shah denied the claims of false remarks about Mahira Khan attributing them as misquoted and misinterpreted.
Shah described Mahira Khan as “not a seasoned actor,” it seems, from a media web page that triggered a storm of backlash.
He said the quoted words were false, misleading and fraudulent.
Shah voted Mahira as second to none in beauty on Neo TV’s show-chit program but fourth about their acting potential.
The example he brought up regarding that he couldn’t associate with Mahira’s work in The Legend of Maula Jatt.
He clarified that he wasn’t commenting on the overall quality of her work and admitted he hadn’t seen much of her body of work.
“Top-notch” is how Shah described Hamza Ali Abbasi’s performance in the same movie.
He even joked that he could get trolled for his comments, adding, “They’ll make memes on this now.
” Shah rejected the misquote on Instagram and told Mahira not to clickbait.
Social media backlash consists of accusations of seeking attention, criticism, and degrading remarks. “Who is he?” and “He only wants fame” were the most common comments in response to the Instagram photo.
