Renowned Bollywood playback singer Sunidhi Chauhan recently expressed her admiration for the Pakistani music industry, particularly highlighting a Coke Studio Pakistan performance.
During an appearance on Raj Shamani’s podcast, Chauhan praised the talent and dedication of Pakistani musicians. “I collaborate with many Pakistani artists, and they are truly exceptional. We share so much in common—language, appearance, food, and culture. We are essentially the same people. When I travel to the US and the UK, I often make Pakistani friends. Their music industry is thriving because they create music for the sheer love of it, attracting a devoted fanbase. This passion resonates with audiences in India as well,” she noted.
Chauhan singled out Coke Studio as a standout example of Pakistan’s musical excellence. “Coke Studio epitomizes their passion for music. I was particularly impressed by the song ‘Turri Jandi’ by Hassan Raheem and Shazia Mansoor. Shazia, known for ‘Chandni Ratain’ and many other hits, is an iconic singer. The ‘Turri Jandi’ video is astonishing; it elevates the song to another level. The song is wonderful on its own, but the video makes it extraordinary. It’s truly beautiful,” Chauhan remarked.
Sunidhi Chauhan, known for her hits like ‘Ruki Ruki Si Zindagi,’ ‘Mehboob Mere,’ ‘Dhoom Machale,’ and ‘Beedi,’ continues to be a prominent figure in the music industry.
