Sudan military plane crash: A jet carrying military officers crashed close to Khartoum, the capital of Sudan, killing everyone on board, on Wednesday.
News outlets claim that the event was caused by a technological fault, and rescue personnel have started their operation.
The jet crashed near a military installation while carrying military officers, according to reports.
The number of military troops on board has not yet been confirmed.
In addition to causing power outages in several areas, the accident resulted in a loud explosion that neighbours reported to emergency officials, according to local media reporting.
The day prior to this incident, the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) claimed responsibility for downing a fighter plane in Nyala, the South Darfur capital.
