In the third Twenty20 International, the South Africa women team thrashed Pakistan on Friday, taking a 2-1 victory over the Green Shirts in the three-match series.
The visitors defeated the hosts with ease in the Multan Cricket Stadium encounter, taking just two wickets in their 18.3 overs to chase down the 154-run mark.
The Proteas were led by opener Laura Wolvaardt (45) and Annerie Dercksen (44*), with Anneke Bosch chipping in with 46 runs before retiring injured.
While Tazmin Brits, the opener, was stumped on the first ball she faced, Suné Luus scored 14* runs.
Sadia Iqbal and Tuba Hassan both took one wicket for Pakistan.
South Africa Women had won the toss earlier in the day and elected to bowl first, limiting the national team to 153 for five.
Sidra Ameen, who batted first, scored 37 runs to become the Green Shirts’ top run scorer. Muneeba Ali and captain Fatima Sana, meanwhile, scored 27 and 33 runs, respectively.
For the visitors, Chloe Tryon, Tumi Sekhukhune, Nonkululeko Mlaba, and Luus each dismissed one batter.
Because of their significant contributions in both the series and the final match, Luus of South Africa was chosen Player of the Series while Dercksen was selected Player of the Match.
