Actress Sonya Hussain said that Babar Azam was his favorite player, but he is not anymore.
As cricketing fans across Pakistan are frustrated and disappointed over the national teams in Champions Trophy tournament 2025, celebrities also showed their discontent.
Sonya Hussain was appearing as guest at special podcast of private television show dedicated for tournament.
He shared her thoughts on Pakistan’s recent cricket performance in the big event.
When the host asked her about the favorite cricketers, Sonya Hussain said that she was a big fan of Babar, but the opinion has changed now.
“I used to like Babar a lot, but not anymore, “she said.
She further added she now has favorite player in the team, but she couldn’t recall his name at the moment.
The star actress described the performance of cricket team in ICC champions trophy tournament as “disappointing”.
Sonya Hussain further said that team’s poor show disappointed many fans.
Champions Trophy is now entering the final stages, as semifinalists are done now.
The lineup includes India, Australia, South Africa and New Zealand.
Australia and India will face each other in first Semifinal at Dubai stadium. However, New Zealand and South will encounter each other in 2nd Semifinal in Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.
