Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has been conducting widespread searches throughout Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Islamabad in an ongoing attempt to curb gas theft. As a consequence, 33 illegal gas connections have been disconnected, and fines totaling Rs 0.3 million have been imposed.
Teams from SNGPL unplugged eight unauthorized gas connections in Lahore and filed three First Information Reports (FIRs) against violators. Eighteen illicit connections were severed in Multan. Three unlawful connections were cut off by the Faisalabad team, and they also assessed fines totaling Rs 0.057 million for gas theft.
Gas theft in Sheikhupura resulted in fines of Rs 0.157 million. One unauthorized connection was cut off by the Gujranwala team, and they also levied fines of Rs 0.17 million. Three connections that were utilizing compressors unlawfully were terminated in Bahawalpur.
