SNGPL disconnects 58 connections over gas theft

During the ongoing crackdown against gas pilferers, SNGPL continued raids in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad, disconnecting another 58 connections; Rs 1.25 million fine imposed.In Lahore, the team disconnected 06 connections for the illegal use of gas and another two for the use of a compressor and imposed a fine of Rs 0.68 million against gas theft cases. In Multan, the team disconnected 04 connections on the illegal use of gas and another 03 on the use of a compressor. In Karak, the company disconnected 05 connections on account of direct use and illegal use of gas and an amount of Rs 0.22 million have been booked against gas theft cases. The team also lodged 2 FIRs against gas theft cases. The regional team of Shiekhupura disconnected 04 connections on illegal use of gas and also booked an amount of Rs 0.2 million against gas theft cases. In Faisalabad, the team disconnected 02 connections on illegal use of gas and also imposed a fine of Rs 0.05 million against gas theft cases. In Peshawar, the team disconnected 33 connections on illegal use of gas and also booked an amount of Rs 0.1 million against pilferers. In Sahiwal, the team disconnected 01 connection on the illegal use of gas.
