Sindh government has declared all educational institutions to be closed on the account of Shab-i-Meraj, across the province.
A formal notification in this regard was sent on Friday.
As mentioned in the letter, on 28 January (a Tuesday), all public and private schools will remain closed in Sindh.
This sacred day is on the 27th of Rajab in the Islamic calendar.
It is the night of the Holy Prophet’s (Peace Be Upon Him) spiritual ascension.

In order to enable people to celebrate the holiday, businesses and schools usually close on this day.
