SINDH: The Sindh Education Department has opted to promote students from nursery to the third class without the traditional examination process. The move is part of the department’s strategic planning for the upcoming academic year.
The newly released academic schedule unveils that schools and colleges will kick off the educational year on August 1. However, the standout decision to advance students from nursery to the third class without formal examinations aims to alleviate the stress and challenges associated with traditional testing for younger learners.
According to the outlined schedule, examinations for classes four to eight are scheduled to take place from April 15 to April 27. Meanwhile, board examinations for the ninth and tenth grades will be conducted in May, with the eleventh and twelfth-grade exams slated to commence in the final week of May.

As part of the broader academic calendar, educational institutions in Sindh are set to observe summer vacations from June 1 to July 31, with winter vacations scheduled from December 21 to December 31.
This bold decision reflects evolving educational practices, a student-friendly environment, and adapting to the changing dynamics of the academic landscape.
