Navjot Singh Sidhu is set to replace Archana Puran Singh in the India’s most popular comedy show The Kapil Sharma Show.
Sidhu’s roaring comeback in the show has revealed through a promo of the upcoming episode of The Kapil Sharma Show. In the promo Navjot can be seen sitting in the guest judge’s chair in his signature style. Archana Puran Singh appears visibly shocked. Kapil Sharma, known for his jokes, teases Archana, saying her new look resembles Sidhu. But Sidhu clarifies he’s really there, not an impersonation.
In another glimpse of this promo Archana humorously demands Kapil’s help, saying, “Kapil, tell Sardar Sahab to get off my seat!” Harbhajan Singh, who also appears as a guest in this episode, supports Sidhu. He humorously insists that no one can replace the original judge.
This promo quickly drawn the attention of audience. It has sparked mixed reviews from the fans. Some fans are eager to welcome back Sardar Sahab in the show while others are sad on the removal of Archana.
It is pertinent to note that Navjot Singh Sidhu left the show five year before, after a controversy regarding his remarks on the Pulwama terror attack. Sidhu commented on the incident saying that it is wrong to blame an entire nation for terrorism. Fans did not like his statement and were outraged.
This led to widespread calls for his removal, and the show replaced him with Archana Puran Singh. Archana has since become a beloved judge. However, Navjot defended his absence on the show, stating he was absent due to legislative duties.
