Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior figure Hamid Khan in an interview with leading news channel has claimed Sher Afzal Marwat and Fawad Khan were planted.
Hamid noted that some visitors of Imran Khan in jail are not loyal to the party and are causing harm. He highlighted Sher Afzal Marwat as one such individual with a personal agenda.
He said that individuals visiting the party leader Imran Khan in jail often provide their own interpretations of events for personal gain.
“Fawad Chaudhry who left PTI and joined Istehkam Party was planted to damage PTI from within,” claimed Hamid Khan.
He also reflected on the decision to resign from assemblies during the no-trust motion, stating that Fawad Khan and Sheikh Raseed pushed Khan for resignations.
“Me and Shah Mehmood Qureshi sahab was not in favor of resigning from Assembly,” says Hamid Khan.
Hamid Khan further mentioned that the PTI founder is clear that those who left the party should not be allowed to rejoin, especially those who held press conferences, formed their own parties, or joined other parties.
Hamid further criticized the government’s response following the Supreme Court’s decision on special seats, suggesting that the government is apprehensive about tribunal inquiries, which he believes will be swift.
“Decision to ban PTI just shows their desperation after Supreme Court’s reserved seats Decision,” claimed Hamid Khan.

He cited the defeat of Khawaja Asif by Usman Dar’s mother as an example of the party’s strength.
Additionally, Khan mentioned that several key figures from rival parties, including Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, and Awn Chaudhry, have faced significant defeats.
Regarding Fazl ur Rehman, Khan stated that he is currently in talks with PTI, and his unmet expectations are causing his current actions.
