In an intelligence-based operation done by the security forces of Pakistan in Bannu, two soldiers were martyred, while eight Khawarij were killed and seven others injured.
However, two soldiers were martyred in exchange for a fire in the Baka Khel Wazir area of Bannu.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations Department (ISPR), the intelligence-based operation was carried out after acting on information about Khawarij’s presence, security forces effectively targeted their hideouts.
While leading the operation, Shaheed Major Atif Khalil was martyred, Naik Azadullah and Lance Naik Ghazanfar Abbas were also martyred while fighting bravely.
ISPR spokesperson stated that “Security forces are committed to ending terrorism, and the sacrifices of our brace soldiers strengthen our cause.”
He added, “Major Atif Khalil Shaheed belongs to the Sudhanoti district of Azad Kashmir and his age is 31 years. After delicately defending his country for 8 years, he left his parents, siblings, wife, and daughter behind.
Shaheed Naik Azadullah belonged to Kirk district, and he was 36 years old. Naik Azadullah Shaheed served in the Pakistan Army, protecting the country for 15 years. He leaves behind his wife, two sons, and a daughter.
Lance Naik Ghazanfar Abbas Shaheed, 35, from Leh district, served for 14 years. His family includes his wife, daughter, and son.
