Security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Awaran, Dera Bugti, and Kech districts of Balochistan.
Seven terrorists were killed and 2 injured during the intelligence-based operations
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), weapons, ammunition, and explosives were also recovered from the killed terrorists.
Operation in Bannu
As reported by ISPR security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on information about the presence of terrorists. During the operation, security personnel effectively took action against the terrorist’s hideout.
During the military operation, 3 assassins were killed and 2 were injured in the exchange of fire. Arms, ammunition, and explosives were also recovered during the operation.
ISPR spokesperson said that the killed terrorists were involved in several terrorist acts against the security forces, including target killings of innocent civilians.
A sanitization operation was also conducted to eliminate any other foreigners found in the area.
Operation in Balochistan
Another intelligence-based operation was conducted in the Awaran district on information about the presence of terrorists.
Two terrorists were killed in a fierce exchange of fire during the operation. The killed terrorists were identified as Niaz Ilyas Ghuman and Zarif Ilyas Shah Jahan. Both were on the most wanted terrorist list.
In a separate operation in the Dera Bugti district in Balochistan, another terrorist was killed in another operation in the Kech district.
The eliminated terrorists were responsible for attacks on security forces and the killing of innocent civilians. They were highly sought after by law enforcement agencies for their involvement in multiple operations.
Security forces, in collaboration with the nation, remain resolute in their commitment to safeguarding the peace, stability, and progress of Balochistan.
