The foreign ministers of Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have strongly criticized the failure of world powers to stop the massacre in Gaza.
They expressed a common stance of their governments that the bigwigs of the world must stop Israel from killing innocent people in Palestine and implement the UN’s resolution of 1974 for independent Palestine.
Saudi Arabia Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, stated that Israel, with the support of world powers, has brutally killed more than 33000 innocent people in Palestine. He also criticized the double standards and dual face of world leaders in their response to the situation in Gaza. He also condemned the ongoing crisis in Gaza as a blatant violation of international laws and expressed his deep concern over the toll on human life.
Mr. Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud further stated that while a hue and cry is being made over the loss of about nine people resulting from Iranian attacks, nothing practical is being done to save the people of Palestine. Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, condemned Israel and emphasized that the future of Palestine should be decided in light of the UN resolution of 1974. He criticized the failure of world powers to prevent Israel from aggression on Gaza.
Earlier, the Saudi Foreign Minister expressed his commitment to strengthening economic ties with Pakistan, stating that his country will do everything in its power to enhance investment in Pakistan. He emphasized Saudi Arabia’s dedication to fostering bilateral relations. He highlighted the positive outcome of discussions that followed a recent meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman.
Prince Faisal commended the Special Investment Facilitation Council’s (SIFC) initiatives to attract investment and expressed his appreciation for the large and high-profile delegation from Saudi Arabia in Pakistan throughout his 35-year political career.
However, a high-level Saudi delegation led by Faisal arrived in Pakistan today to explore potential areas for investment in Pakistan. The delegation comprises key ministers and senior officials arrived in Pakistan following a visit by Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif to Riyadh- the capital of Saudi Arabia- earlier this month to perform Umra and there also held extensive talks with Saudi leadership.
Pakistan is eager to attract investment from Riyadh and is offering Saudi investors stakes in the multi-billion-dollar RekoDiq mine projects and the agricultural sector. The Saudi delegation is also receiving presentations on potential areas of investment. Pakistan requires billions of dollars in foreign investment to meet its external liabilities and avoid repeatedly turning to international financial institutions for bailouts. The SIFC was established to tackle the country’s economic challenges through foreign investment, and Pakistan aims to attract 70 billion US Dollars in investment from Gulf countries over the next three to five years.
