Quetta Gladiator has named former Pakistan cricket team captain Sarfaraz Ahmed as the team director for PSL 10th edition.
Sarfaraz Ahmed who led the team Pakistan team in Champions Trophy tournament 2017 and lift the trophy for country has been out of the team since years.
However, Quetta Gladiator has kept him in the role of Captaincy. He has been leading the side since its first season. Under his captaincy Quetta win the PSL title in 2019.
But now Sarfaraz has been assigned with new leadership role outside the field.
The owner of Quetta Gladiator, Nadeem Umar, made the announcement regarding a significant change of Sarfaraz’s role with the team.
“I am pleased to announce the appointment of Sarfaraz Ahmed as the team director of Quetta Gladiators,” Nadeem Umar told the media. “I am confident that he will bring invaluable experience and leadership to the franchise.”
He also acknowledged the strong combination of Sarfaraz as team director and former Pakistan captain Moin khan as head coach.
He further expressed that the partnership would help the franchise in winning the future PSL seasons.
