After these dates, the phone will stop working with local SIM cards unless it is properly registered with the PTA.
Why is PTA registration necessary?
PTA (Pakistan Telecommunication Authority) registration ensures that imported smartphones can be used with local networks.
Unregistered phones will be blocked and will not be able to receive cellular services in Pakistan. The DIRBS (Device Registration Blocking System) program enforces this law. The FBR (Federal Board of Revenue) has recently increased taxes on imported phones, so it is important to stay up to date with the latest tax rates and registration rules.
