Salman Akram Raja, on Thursday, has stepped down from his position as secretary general of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) following the party’s underwhelming public gathering in Lahore.
Initially assigned to spearhead PTI’s initiatives in Islamabad, Raja shifted focus to Lahore due to logistical hurdles, including blocked roads, opting to organize a demonstration there instead.
However, his efforts to gather substantial support in Punjab’s provincial capital fell short, leading to questions about the party’s organisational capacity and its ability to energize its supporters.
Further updates are awaited.
