Sahir Hasan, son of well-known actor Sajid Hasan’s son has been arrested allegedly linking to Mustafa Amir murder case.
Sajid Hasan son was arrested after a string of police raided on drug dealers and addicts in Karachi’s affluent Defense Housing Authority (DHA).
Sahir Hasan was one of at least four people arrested by a special unit headed by the CIA Police. From his hands, authorities retrieved a cache of pharmaceuticals, including international brands, valued at almost Rs. 5 million.
Sahir Hasan allegedly made startling admissions during investigation. He admitted that he had been engaged in narcotics transactions for the previous two years. Additionally, he revealed that he had provided drugs to several people, including Armaghan Qureshi, the main suspect in the murder case of Mustafa Amir.
Earlier a trial judge has prolonged the physical remand of two important suspects, Armaghan Qureshi and Sheeraz, for a another five days. Police is also working to recover data of 62 laptops and USB drives, recovered from suspects.
The Sindh health department had already exhumed Mustafa Amir’s remains in accordance with court orders in order to obtain DNA samples in order to obtain more proof. Eleven samples have been sent to the Sindh Forensic DNA Lab for analysis, according to Police Surgeon Dr. Sumayya Syed.
Determining the precise cause of death is still difficult, though, because of the advanced degree of decomposition. According to Dr. Syed, “Without fingerprints, DNA testing is our primary method to confirm the victim’s identity and gather further evidence.”
As the country awaits justice in this case, more developments are anticipated in the upcoming court session.
