Saif Ali Khan, Bollywood actor, got under an assault attempt in an alleged robbery attempt at his residence in Bandra area on January 16.
The whole of the case has become more complicated by inconsistencies in Saif Ali Khan’s Kareena Kapoor’s account and differences in medical records.
Saif stated that he and Kareena were in their bedroom on 11th floor of the Satguru Sharan building when they heard an outcry of Jeh’s nanny Eliyama Philips.
He stated that they immediately hurried to the crime scene, where, confronting the assailant he overpowered after being stabbed several times.
Kareena, however, reported that she descended from the 12th floor to find Saif already pinned by the attacker.
This inequality has led to some questioning of the chronological order of events.
The medical report has added to the confusion. Sanjay Nirupam, Shiv Sena’s leader, raised the questions on Saif’s speedy recovery. He showed deep concern about his surgery process.
Additionally, reports say that Saif was brought to the hospital by the friend Afsar Zaidi. As per reports, his son Ibrahim did not bring him to the hospital as originally stated.
CCTV footage from the building has also been scrutinized. Experts have questioned if the assailant on the footage is the same person that committed the attack.
He also bore no bloodstain, even if he is said to have stabbed Saif six times.
The Mumbai Police department has increased security measures around Saif’s house in Bandra after the incident.
Two constables were posted on a rotation with increased cameras along with fitting of window grills for better surveillance.
Former IPS officer Nirmal Kaur, suggested that the police must provide a proper version of the incidents. It is a must to present in the court to address inconsistencies arising in the report.
