Saif Ali Khan attacked: stabbed six times, undergo surgery

Renowned Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is brutally attacked in his Mumbai house on Thursday, according to Indian media reports.

According to media reports, Saif is stabbed at least six times by an unidentified intruder who broke into his Mumbai residence during a burglary attempt.

Following the incident, Saif was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent surgery and is now said to be out of danger.

According to police reports, two of the stab wounds were severe, with one dangerously close to the actor’s spinal cord.

Mumbai Police have started an investigation to track down and arrest the suspect.

As per police reports, the attacker entered Saif’s Bandra home early Thursday morning. He was confronted by Saif during which the actor sustained injuries.

At the time of the attack, Saif’s wife, Kareena Kapoor, and their sons, Taimur and Jeh, were reportedly present in the house. Mumbai Police have launched an investigation to track down and arrest the suspect.

Speaking to the media, Deputy Commissioner of Police Dixit Gedam confirmed the incident. “An unidentified individual broke into actor Saif Ali Khan’s residence. A scuffle ensued, during which the actor was injured. The matter is under investigation,” he stated.

Saif’s teams also released a statement to inform his fans about the tragic incident.

“There was an attempted burglary at Mr. Saif Ali Khan’s residence. He is currently hospitalized and undergoing surgery. We request fans and the media to remain patient. Updates will be provided as the situation develops,” the statement read.

Doctors at Lilavati Hospital shared more details about Saif’s condition. ” Saif suffered six stab wounds, two of which are deep. One of these cuts was dangerously close to his spinal cord”, Dr. Uttamani shared the details.
