Sabrina Carpenter recently addressed the controversy for her song Feather during a concert in New York.
The 25-year-old singer broke her silence, commenting on the recent indictment of NYC Mayor Eric Adams.
During concert Sabrina joked “Damn, what now? Should we talk about how I got the mayor indicted, or?” This moment was captured in a video shared on X.
The controversy began after Carpenter’s Feather video, which included provocative scenes filmed inside a church. According to Just Jared, part of the music video’s filming in a church led to backlash, especially from religious groups. As a result, the Catholic priest who allowed the filming was disciplined and demoted by the bishop.
Further complications arose when the church came under investigation by federal authorities earlier this month. The probe focuses on the church’s potential business dealings with Mayor Adams’ former chief of staff.
The priest’s suspicious activities and his political connections are now being scrutinized. Carpenter’s music video has become a focal point in this larger investigation, bringing attention not only to the church but also to her role in the controversy.
