President Asif Ali Zardari asked Governor Khyber Paktunkhwa (KP) Faisal Karim Kundi to stay in the federal capital, the sources said on Friday.
The direction followed KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi’s meeting with President Asif Ali Zardari last night in Islamabad.
The development took place amid rumours on the social media that the authorities were deliberating to impose governor rule in KPK.
However, the official sources rejected the rumours, saying that all such rumours circulating on the social media are fake.
“These fake rumours are nothing but baseless,” said the official sources.
They said, “Governor Rule is not being imposed in KP,”.

Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) stressed the pressing security challenges stating that the province could be left vulnerable to terrorist threats.
Prime Minister (PM) of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, met with Governor KP, Faisal Karim Kundi, to discuss the province’s security situation.
During the meeting, which included Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal, PM Shehbaz Sharif decided to visit KP next week and underscored the need for immediate measures to restore peace and stability in the province.
